- Obtain crucial vendor lead times and cost estimates
- Define preliminary project rationale, budget, and time frame

Final Design

- Conclude line design, layouts, and equipment specifications
- Ascertain system controls, utilities, and documentation requirements
- Refine project scope, schedule, and cost
- Allocate funds and resources to meet project objectives
- Authorize project plan and execute 

Implementation

- Order equipment and verify machinery designs/features
- Prepare and distribute contractor bid packages for appropriate selections
- Finalize project schedule, addressing critical path 
- Perform critical equipment pre-shipment acceptance tests
- Coordinate site preparation and equipment installation activities     
- Manage on-site contractor and vendor activities
- Arrange operator and maintenance training sessions
 

Start-Up through Commissioning

- Coordinate support activities for equipment start-up and line debug
- Schedule production line ramp-up
- Test equipment performance in production to approve final payments
- Perform technical and financial project follow-up
